Charmed Visit With The Glamourai

Last month The Glamourai  beautiful Kelly Framel and incredible photographer Jaimie Beck paid me a visit. They came with romantic, beautiful gowns by Tadashi Shoji, jewels by Chopard and loads of sweetness.  What else could a girl ask for? I felt like Cinderella at an enchanted farm! Here are a few of the photos from the day that are on Kelly's site. I am beyond elated to have collaborated with them on this magical day! How Kelly knew my style and size is a mystery. But then again she is the . . The Glamourai ❤

Mulberry & Mulberries

A few months back I was invited to see the new Mulberry Collection . I felt blessed to be Cinderella (or perhaps Snow White since plastic gnomes were the party favors) for a night when I was able to borrow some beautiful Spring pieces. It seems safe to say that i love Mulberries in all it's manifestations. My friend Nadine Artemis introduced me the best dry versions of Mulberries I have ever encountered. Organic Traditions Dried Organic Black Mulberries,  are still moist and full of flavor. You may have to buy a pack of 12 but since they are perfect for snacks, on cereals, or for dessert they will go quick! Mulberries are considered a superfood and are nutrient filled! Usually there are only a few weeks in the summer when they are available but now you can have them all year long!

Topanga Days: Canyon Gourmet and Fluke

I love going up to Topanga. If I don't have time to drive to Ojai, I'll just take a mini sojourn to the mountains that has been home to my father for the last thirty years. Topanga has a strong connection to the native tribes and it stills feels like a quaint village. I always make  a stop at my favorite vintage store Hidden Treasures and now there are two more pit stops to add to my list before heading to my Father's place. Canyon Gourmet and Fluke a new vintage store. Canyon Gourmet is the love child of the stylist Danielle King and director Peter Kagan. Together they have created a gourmet haven where one can get sandwiches, organic produce and the coveted Moon Juice. They also have some wonderful household items and chocolates.

Fluke is curated by Caren Castleman who has brought her New York/Brooklyn vibe to the mountains of Topanga. She has a great eye for all sorts of fashionable gems. I went home with an ivory crochet dress, a 1940's black jacket and some great tweed trousers. Caren has quite a following on the East Coast so many Vintage Fashionistas are thrilled she has opened Fluke here.
