Reaching Arcona

May 28, 2011 | 4 Comments

Arcona skin care  has been in existence in Los Angels since 1989, treating skin with
a holistic approach. They were pioneers in creating products and giving treatments
that had no toxic side effects. There main philosophy is in using enzyme based masks
that are derived from fruits and vegetables.

The Story:
My biggest beauty challenge (besides my attachment to my mommy belly) are the dark spots I get from the sun. Due to hormonal shifts, I am prone to those dark patches and
they truly are the bane of my beauty existence. I so admire clear, translucent skin. My
ideal skin beauties are Tilda Swinton and Cate Blanchett. I mean I love that pale-English
Rose- lost- in-a-shadowed -old- English-estate- kind of  look. My conflict is that as much
as I yearn to be Katherine in Whuthering Heights, I also am a California girl who loves to
swim in the deep blue seas of Kauai or Mexico. I started using hydroquinone a few years
ago and I was happy with the success until I began to do the research and discovered how
toxic it can be. Tata Harper (who is featured on our first posting on allure) informed
me that hydroquinone stays in the liver for 30 years. Yikes!! Here I am eating organically,
but then poisoning my liver with whitening lotions. So now I have been on the hunt for
natural products that can keep my blemishes at bay. Arcona has lightening drop product
that uses kojic acid and vitamin C. I will be trying it starting this week and I will report
back.

I began using Arcona products and an arcona facial regime before my wedding 1.5 years ago. I just recently looked at pictures of my face without any makeup and was stunned how clear and glowing it looked! I had no idea until I looked back in pictures. I have since tried other products and think I will use Arcona again. I have really dry skin and the Peptide Hydrating Complex was really great. I love your site and love love the tata harper products too which I discovered from you!

    xx

I battle dark spots too! ..No matter how much spf 60 I use. But I am on Obagi…which, yikes, I believe uses hydroquinone as an ingredient… I will wait to hear what you think of Arcona.
