Last season Isabel Marant made some versatile harm pants and I missed the boat on. You know when you say 'oh it's just a trend, when will I ever wear them?' Well, I have been kicking myself since last spring since I realized the best thing about these pants are you can easily throw them up on in the early morning for school drop off, keep them on for yoga practice, dress them up then with different shoes and a blazer for a meeting, and be comfortable enough to garden and cook dinner in them. Before embarking on my Kauai pilgrimage I scoured ebay for a pair of the lost Marant's and then decided to just make a trip to Govinda at the Hari Krishna temple and store in Culver City. There I found some colorful, easy, substitutes that I had to take in to alter the balloon shape, but ended up loving them and living in them in Kauai. If you are interested in a pair let me know and I will get you the information since The Hare Krishna's aren't quite web savvy. The one consolation is my version are under $40 where the Isabel's are several hundred.

The Unattainable Marant's I was Yearning For . . . .
