Worth Your Salt = Hepp Salt

The phrase “worth your salt” is derived from biblical times when salt was used as wages. In the Persian culture if someone is dull or dim they use the term “they are lacking salt”. As we know salt is crucial to great cuisine. Well now is the time to get that fresh produce, douse it with great olive oil, and  sprinkle on my new favorite obsession – Hepp Salt. I am mad for this  local, family owned, company that specializes in  premium, all natural, gourmet salts that range from black truffle to roasted garlic flavors. The biggest challenge is picking out which flavor to try first. The truffle salt is great just on fresh made popcorn or the rosemary infused salt on roasted potatoes.
