Since taking the television out of my bedroom a year ago, I have now officially made my nest into the cosy sanctuary I have always dreamed of. Stacks of books by the bed, fresh cut flowers from my garden, and now the ultimate in new age ambiance . . . a salt lamp from the the Himalayans. I ordered mine from Solay but they are now available on Amazon and Target. The lamps omit the positive ions that we receive when being by the sea and clear the air for better breathing. They also filter out the electro magnetic waves which are constantly assaulting us. The apricot amber glow really does seem to sooth the senses.  In addition to mine, I bought a mini one to connect to my older daughter's lap top, and though she may grumble I see it glowing in her room at night! The seed has been planted . . .
