Woolworths is back . . . Green maven Priscilla

July 12, 2012 | 0 Comments

Priscilla Woolworth is one cultured, beautiful, savvy green fairy! She was named “New Green Pioneer” by Times Magazine in 2009, and she is carrying the tradition of her iconic family name but as an eco-warrior.  She grew up between the country side of France and Maine and always felt connected to the natural world. She created her site, eco-almanac and on line home store so she could sell the things she wanted for herself. All the products she endorses are non toxic, from recycled material, long lasting and locally made. She also makes all her own cleaning material which you can see in the photo below (lemon peel, lemon oil, and water)! I had the pleasure of  meeting with Priscilla at her lovely home and garden which felt like being in the South of France with it’s abundance of lavender, humming birds and bees . . .

1) How long has your site been up? 3 years and half years
2) Are you optimistic about the state of our planet? I am optimistic that enough people care to make a difference.
3) What is your favorite meal? Moroccan Couscous with a green salad
4) Are you a mermaid or forest fairy? How sweet-A forest fairy. I love trees, the forest, leaves, moss, hiking in the woods.
5) What product can you not live without? Olive oil. I use it on my salad, to polish my wood furniture, remove sticky labels on glass jars, and use it after the shower on my skin to make it so soft.
6) What book is by your nightstand? I have several: On the Future of Food by HRH the Prince of Wales; No More Dirty Looks by Siobhan O’Connor and Alexandra Spunt;  Beautiful and Abundant by Bryan Welch, Vogue and The New Yorker.
