Benefits of the Auyrevedic drink

I have been deep in my Auyrevedic studies lately, and so the benefits of Golden Milk are clear on my mind. Golden Milk Tonic is beneficial for stiff joints, boosting the immune system and provides vital ingredients for enhancing beauty. The turmeric used in the recipe is a powerful herb and blending it with the fat and black pepper in Golden milk makes it more easily absorbed into the body. Black pepper is able to carry the properties of Turmeric (curcumin) into the blood stream. Traditionally it is made with cow milk which can make it a soothing nighttime treat to help with sleep, but nut milks are a wonderful substitute. The recipe below doesn’t include black pepper, however I add a tsp to my Golden Milk.

Golden Turmeric Milk

Ingredients

1.5 Tsp ground turmeric OR 2 oz fresh turmeric juice
1.5 Tbsp Raw Honey, 1-2 dates or 8-10 drops of omica stevia
Splash of Vanilla or Tsp of vanilla bean powder
1 Tsp ground cinnamon
pinch of salt
3 Cups of homemade Almond Milk

Method

1. Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender & serve.
2. For individual LATTE – cut all ingredients in half & heat the almond milk.
3. Blend until foamy & serve!
