Protecting Your Life Force From Leaking Energies

Tips and tricks to protect yourself

Do you have moments where you feel scattered? Or moments when you feel the battery has been pulled out of your system and you are totally drained? Do you moments where you feel foggy and out of control? Does being around certain people make you feel exhausted? All of these could be symptoms of having your life force or ‘chi’ being leaked out. These leaks can lessen our power and eventually lead to despair. Since being on a spiritual and holistic path, I have become so sensitive to the subtleties that I feel in various places and or with various people. In these fast moving, chaotic, overly informed times we really need to check in and see where we are losing our ‘chi’ or life force. Here are some ways to check in and stop the leaks.

~ A few weeks ago I posted about how aligning our chakras can help us with flowing our energy in the right way. Sometimes these channels are blocked and we don’t even know it. Once they are flowing the energy within us is protected.

~ Take a mental note of who comes into our thoughts and creates havoc there. If a particular person drains you, try to create an imaginary force field around your being when around this person.

~ Shut down the wifi or internet in the house before bed. The wifi is depleting you with EMF’s as you sleep.

~ Make a list of all the things that are pestering you and do them rather than thinking about them. (Car serviced, getting a check up, taking that surfing class, etc.) Procrastinating and stressing on things we need to do can be a big leak to our energy field. By being proactive we will feel a big feeling of relief.

~ Forgive people who have hurt or harmed you. There are various ways of meditating on healing parts of ourselves that have been hurt. A good book on this is Radical Forgiveness.

~ Say no to those invitations that no longer serve your highest good. Saying no is almost like a rites of passage into adulthood. When we are really particular about what we say yes to the universe will take note and see the direction we want to grow in.

~ Say yes to community service and helping a friend in need. This only expands our energy fields.

~ Limit television and radio especially the news. I try to get some information so I can be a part of our world without being inundated with the fabricated sensational aspect of the news.

~ Take salt baths when you return from a chaotic day out in the world. The salts can release negativity that has attached to your energy field.

~ Use essential oils to clear your home and revive your spirit.

Here is a lovely way to bring those split off parts of ourselves back by one of my heroes Christiane Northrup.

To stay or become healthy, it is useful for each of us to notice where we are leaking our energy. A good time to do this is when you go to bed each night. To begin the process of healing your energy leaks, simply notice who or what you are thinking about, worrying about, or obsessing about. What thoughts, emotions, events, or people keep coming into your mind? Are there any emotions or thoughts over which you are obsessing? See whom you’re holding resentments against. When you find these areas, you must call your spirit back. One way to do this is by using your will and your power of intent to call back the parts of you that are caught in past or present situations that don’t serve your highest good. It is helpful to do this out loud. Simply state, “Spirit, come back here—I need you with me.” As you’re calling your spirit back, it also helps to affirm your spiritual connection verbally. Repeat the following affirmation (or something similar), really feeling the truth of it: “I am always being divinely guided toward my highest good on all levels. Divine love now dissolves everything that is not on my divinely designed path.” The split-off parts of yourself are not used to this calling, but eventually they will respond to your efforts and your energy will return.

I love using essential oils for everything. I always carry around a few blends in my purse in case I am experiencing nervous energy or just need to feel refreshed. They really lift up the spirit!

Thank you for this beautiful post and for sharing with us. I am a Radical Living Coach and was so pleased to see that you mention Colin Tipping’s book, “Radical Forgiveness”, here. I highly recommend his book “Radical Self-Forgiveness” as well. Excellent resource for diving in deep. And I concur, learning the power of the positive No is such a learning curve. I am constantly reminding myself that “No.” is a complete sentence.

    Equinox blessings galore x x

I truly love this post so much! I work within Finance and despite professional success, I’ve always felt this greater need to lead a holistic lifestyle and circle back to being who I truly am. Not being defined by an industry is so important and your article brings so much inspiration to me to be aware of how and who I am sharing my energy with.

I have recently taken to blogging about living a more mindful life and I think this post may be something right up your alley.
